Honk! Oz

A fringe event of The Illawarra Folk Festival, HONK! Oz is a free three-day spectacle featuring alternative community bands and related arts.  Honk Oz is a Parade! a Party! A Raucous celebration! Lots of Fun! Energetic, Irreverent, revelrous and with a somewhat DIY approach to instrumentation and attire.  Honk bands perform to celebrate; to protest; to proclaim; some play for peace, some for activist causes; for community spirit; and all of them play to have fun!!!!

Cygnet Folk Festival

From the 12th - 14th of January 2018 the small town of Cygnet will again play host to the annual Cygnet Folk Festival. This year will be the 36th Cygnet Folk Festival, one of Australia’s most iconic folk music festivals. Very highly regarded by musicians and festival-goers from all over Australia and overseas, competition to come to Cygnet is at an all time high amongst performers, and last year we had a record number of applications! The Festival is a showcase of eclectic music genres featuring both local and international talent, dance, poetry, masterclasses, film, kids' entertainment, food, wine, art and local handicrafts all set in the breathtaking scenery of Tasmania's Huon Valley.
